Feminine energy isn’t about doing less—it’s about leading from a place of trust, curiosity, and flow. It’s about honoring the natural cycles of creativity, growth, rest, and reflection, instead of forcing ourselves to stay "on" all the time. This shift didn’t just change how I work—it changed how I live. It helped me redefine success in a way that feels aligned, sustainable, and truly fulfilling. Growing up, I was the planner. The goal-setter. Th Growing up, I was the planner. The goal-setter. The one who mapped out the steps and checked them off, one by one. At 16, I got a job. Senior year, I became drum major (not just to lead, but mostly so I didn’t have to actually play my instrument during marching band). By junior year of high school, I decided on accounting. I finished my undergraduate degree in 3.5 years, followed the internship-to-job path, and wrapped up my master’s within 4.5 years of graduating high school. I met the boy, got married, climbed the public accounting ladder. Then, I started having babies. And that was the first time I remember truly questioning it all. Was I doing this for the external validation? Or was this path truly a reflection of who I was? Over the next decade, I raised a few more babies. And it wasn’t until I had a daughter of my own that I really got curious, not about the career path I had planned, but about me. Who was I? What did I actually know about myself? That’s when I started experimenting. I gave myself permission to explore, to lean into what interested me instead of only doing what made sense on paper. When opportunities came, I chose the ones that felt right in my gut, even when they weren’t the logical choice or didn’t win approval from others. Now, as I enter the year I turn 40, I finally feel like I know my own voice. I know my own body. And, for the first time, I am at peace with who I am. I can honor the parts of me that once believed they had to achieve, to perform, to fit in, to keep me safe. But those parts don’t get to be in control anymore. Instead, I am learning to trust. To trust my inner knowing. To trust the universe. To trust others until they give me a reason not to. I am learning to feel my emotions, to listen to what they are trying to tell me, and to release them, without letting them take the wheel. I am surrounding myself with people who help me stay in my authenticity, who remind me of who I am when I forget. And in turn, I pass that gift along to others when they forget. It’s an unlearning of what the world told me to be and a discovery of who I truly am. I am not too much. And neither are you. We are perfectly made.
